GaSe（硒化镓）晶体的太赫兹振荡能达到有非常宽的频域，至41THz。GaSe是负单轴层状半导体晶体，拥有六边形结构的62m空间点群，300K时禁带宽度为2.2eV。GaSe晶体抗损伤阈值高，非线性系数大（54pm/V），非常合适的透明范围，以及超低的吸收系数，这使其成为中红外宽带电磁波振荡的非常重要的解决方案。因宽带太赫兹振荡和探测使用的是低于20飞秒的激光光源，GaSe发射-探测系统能获得与ZnTe可比的甚至更好的结果。通过对GaSe晶体厚度的选取，我们可以实现对THz波的频率可选择性控制。

However, the GaSe crystal cannot be cut to a certain phase angle because the material structure <001>of the GaSe crystal limits this cut.
